FootballSSG competitions are held at Pittwater Rat Park, North Narrabeen and Brookvale Oval, Brookvale

We created the FootballSSG to aid in the ongoing growth and development of the game of football, and in particular, to aid in the natural development of player’s technical skills

The basics of FootballSSG and futsal are very similar. Most of the rules are similar including: the size of the field; the non-contact nature of play; and the length of the matches. The key and fundamental difference between FootballSSG and futsal is that we play on turf and use a turf ball (like you would use in your full-sized-field winter competition). This is because we want our players to improve their technical football skills, something we feel is best done using the ball and the surface they will experience in their regular winter competition.

You might just want to have fun. You might want to improve or enhance your fitness. All of these are valid reasons to play FootballSSG, Manly Warringah summer soccer.

Registration Information For All Age Groups

Registrations for the Spring 2023 season are now open. Complete this form to register to play.

Registrations for new teams will close at 9pm Friday 1st September ... check our home page to see which competitions can still accept new teams.

Registrations for individuals who have been invited to join an existing (already accepted) team and who wish to participate in the first game of the season close at 9pm Sunday 3rd September. Any registrations received after that time are highly, highly unlikely to be processed in time for the player to participate in the first game of the season.

- if you want to play in the first game of your team’s season, you mist be registered before Sunday 3rd September

Note that the registration system will still be running but the above dates/times are the cut-off times, after which we will be focusing solely on the task of getting the season up and running for the ~3,000 people that have already registered.

Late registering players will be processed weekly after the start of the season and will need to have registered at least seven days prior to the date they wish to commence playing (to give us time to organise their insurances and their playing kits). For example:

- if you want to start playing on Monday 25th September, you must be registered before Tuesday 19th September
- if you want to start playing on Wednesday 4th October, you must be registered before Thursday 28th September

No discounts are offered for late-registering players.

No further registrations will be accepted after Saturday 7th October.
