FootballSSG competitions are held at Pittwater Rat Park, North Narrabeen and Brookvale Oval, Brookvale FootballSSG are Manly Warringah summer soccer competitions run mid-week, on your choice of Tuesday or Thursday afternoons and evenings We created the FootballSSG to aid in the ongoing growth and development of the game of football, and in particular, to aid in the natural development of player’s technical skills The basics of FootballSSG and futsal are very similar. Most of the rules are similar including: the size of the field; the non-contact nature of play; and the length of the matches. The key and fundamental difference between FootballSSG and futsal is that we play on turf and use a turf ball (like you would use in your full-sized-field winter competition). This is because we want our players to improve their technical football skills, something we feel is best done using the ball and the surface they will experience in their regular winter competition. You might just want to have fun. You might want to improve or enhance your fitness. All of these are valid reasons to play FootballSSG, Manly Warringah summer soccer. The key and fundamental difference between FootballSSG and futsal is that we play on turf and use a turf ball (like you would use in your full-sized-field winter competition) FootballSSG aids in the ongoing growth and development of the game of football, and in particular, aids in the natural development of player’s technical skills Small sided football helps to improve technical skills such as ball control, short passing and dribbling. And it helps to improve tactical skills such as using space, passing and moving and playing a through ball.

Warriewood Competitions
2025 season - Narrabeen High School

Effective 25th June 2025, Council are only allowing us to play at on the Narrabeen High School field this year. If we are successful in our attempts to get them to change that decision, we may be playing at multiple venues (different fields on different days) ... but they’re not yet giving us any reason to think that they’ll change their mind. We’re still hoping because, if they don’t, lots of people will not be able to play as the high school field cannot fit everyone on it.

We calculate that Narrabeen High School will accommodate only 252 teams ... that means approximately 120 teams will miss out.

The only fair way we can approach this is a “first in first served” basis ... teams will be accepted and entered in to this season on a “first in” basis, where the date/time the team will be considered as complete will be the date/time that they have the last of their required minimum number of players registered (refer below).

When does the season start & finish?

Depending on the day that your particular age group plays (refer below), the season starts on Tuesday 16th September, Wednesday 17th September, Thursday 18th September or Friday 19th September.

The season plays for eleven rounds (we DO play through the September/October school holidays). The season will conclude not later than Tuesday 9th December, Wednesday 10th December, Thursday 11th December or Friday 12th December.

How do I register my team?

Each player must register themselves (if they’re 18 years or older) or be registered by their parent. Just make sure that everyone in your team knows what details to select/enter on the registration form for:
- Age group / venue
- The team name
- The manager’s name

If everyone enters those details the same, the system will automatically bundle them together as a team.

How will I know who has registered?

You’ll need to email Stuart as the player database is not accessible “online” (for  security reasons - to protect your personal data).
